Lee Roy Jordan was a fine student of the game at middle linebacker and the defensive tackles benefitted from it. If he noticed the center was leaning my way and probably was going to try to cut me off, he's say, "Bob." If the center leaned the other way, he'd say, "Jethro." Lee Roy watched films over and over and memorized computer printouts so he could see any tendencies during a game. If a running back leaned or cheated in his stance, Lee Roy saw it. I think Lee Roy made half of his tackles because he recognized the little things that most people overlooked.
